The body is WHOLE!!!

My dad had the wonderful pleasure of going to the hospital this past weekend. He has been fighting a cold and cough for weeks and was not able to get better. My mom finally forced him to the emergency room to find out that he has pneumonia.

Doctors are amazing. Most of us would not be alive without them. But I am literally shocked at some of the things I hear, read, and witness that our health care system has come to. By talking to my Dad, asking questions, and listening to his chest, etc., the diagnosis of pneumonia could be done. However, they injected Iodine into his veins and gave him a cat scan.

This is where I get frustrated. I know I am protective because he is my Dad, but it frustrates me beyond words that they injected Iodine into his veins. Iodine is a carcinogenic. It is a highly toxic poison. It causes cancer and damages the thyroid gland permanently. My Mom called me and asked me what to do. I asked if they had an alternative or could avoid the cat scan all together. They admitted to my parents that it is a poison, however they had no alternative for the cat scan.

The body is Whole you guys! We cannot treat pneumonia and cause cancer and thyroid damage at the same time. Our medical system has turned into a system that treats symptoms without curing the ailment. We are given drugs for migraines that cause liver failure. We are given drugs for minor sicknesses that cause depression. We are given drugs for acne that cause Candida. The list goes on and on and on. Just listen side effects listed to the drug commercials on t.v.

The sad thing is that people would rather take a pill for their symptoms. Instead of looking at the WHOLE body, diagnosing what is causing the problem , treat it naturally and be cured forever.

Our bodies are amazing machines. Give them what they need and you will be amazingly healthy inside and out. It is crucial to understand that every meal and every pill has a consequence or benefit to our bodies.

When you reach into your medicine cabinet ask yourself this question. What is causing the problem that I am taking this medicine for? Is your body reacting to a processed food....or could it even be stressful relationship?

I will never forget the feeling I had 5 years ago, sitting in the dermatologist office and listening to her tell me I would need to take acne medication for the rest of my life. What a hopeless feeling! I would love to call her up today and tell her I have no acne and I have not taken a pill for 3 years.

LOOK at yourself as a WHOLE being. Do not look at the one problem. What is the root cause?

Oh yeah, My Dad will be okay. We will do a blood and colon detox once he is back on his feet to flush his body of the poison injected into his veins.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Indeed the most compelling learning often comes from experience; that of other's or that of oneself. Your dad's experience shared hear is teaching me to be even more vigilant toward loving and respecting my whole body. I am far from detoxed but the experience of other's certainly helps me gain the strength to stay on the road to wiser choices. Thank you 26er......for gently opening my eyes on this brave path.

It is scary yet amazing at the same time what we've come to think of as "cures" for what ails us. I will pray for a quick recovery and road back to good health...

i found you through Brees site and I wanted to just leave a quick comment. I agree that we have come to this idea that we need a pill for everything. I am much more interested in the natural alternatives and seeing our body, mind, spirit as a whole entity - completely intertwined. Thanks for posting and I hope your dad's recovery goes by quickly.

oh, there are people here in Budapest with me who are from Charlotte North Carolina. Small world.

Thinking of your dad and hoping for a quick recovery. All my best. And thanks for a great posting. I'm trying to stay pill free but find myself taking advil after some workouts. Other than that, the last day i was "truly" sick was Oct 98 when I called off work for two days. This is the year I started to get more involved with marathon and triathlons. Ever since I rarely find myself under the weather.
Your Penguin friend Patrick.
Oh I ran into Adam Sandler and told him about you and Bree. he laughed!!
